Representing VerticalPath at Naval Station Norfolk and the greater area in Tidewater, Virginia.

John Cooper provides VerticalPath Recruiting a presence in the Tidewater, Virginia area where he recruits and screens candidates for VerticalPath clients on a national basis. He is an active member in the Virginia Department Commander American Veteran (AMVETS) and with the Governors Council of Veterans service Organizations.

John spent 25 years in the U.S. Navy and was an NCCS(SW) (Navy Counselor) at the time of his retirement in. During his tour aboard the USS Coral Sea (CV 43) he was awarded the Golden Anchor for managing the top enlisted retention program in the Pacific Fleet.

After leaving the Navy John was employed by the Department of the Navy as a TAP/DTAP Coordinator for the Norfolk, Virginia area. The Norfolk TAP/DTAP program provides direct career counseling and employment assistance to over 350 Veterans who are transitioning from the military to the civilian world each week.

In addition to his careers with the Navy and the Fleet and Family Support Service (FFSC), John also brings a strong background in human resources, recruiting and sales/marketing.

John is a graduate of Averett University and holds a BBA in Business Administration.
